w.v. vacation and fundraiser.

Hey Folks!!!
It seems like a long time since I blogged. Life has been really busy around here...we've had different things going and lots of vacations! So be prepared for a big post and lots of pictures :)

  • first off was the cabin with the Martin family. I don't have pictures except a selfie with Heidi and my pen pal from Maine who spent  Friday night with us. It was a blast though!! That was June 24-26.
    Sorry about the bad quality, but Heidi is an awesome cousin and I am glad for the little time we get to spend together :)
  • July 10-13 found us in West Virginia with the Sauder family. Since I don't have any cousins my age, I took Maria (cousin on Martin side) with and we had a double blast. We got to ski, swim A LOT, rope swing into the water  and hang out with my amazing family. Chad & Jo are home on furlough for 10 weeks (They are currently having a layover in China, on their way back =( ), so that was especially fun to have them there and be able to spend time with them. Oh and did I mention, we go to a cabin by a HUGE lake right which is right by a big power plant. The power plant uses the water to run its huge plant, so therefore the water is warm. Where we swim at the dock, it isn't bath tub water, but believe me, it feels just pretty good, really good if it is chilly outside! One night we swam very close to the place where the hot water comes out of the plant, and that was like a hot tub. You almost couldn't be in it long or you would feel funny. It sure felt good though!!!

    Another view with lots of people!
  • We came home and then it was the fundraiser for Chad & Jo. We planned a car, truck, motorcycle show to raise money for them. It was held here on our farm and everything went amazing. We raised a huge sum of money for them and overall, everything went very smoothly!

{New Look}

Ok guys, I still don't have the blog look I want, so that's why I changed it from the books to this. It just didn't quite feel right. I also know that you have to get used to something different...please let me know what you think of this, because I can't quite decide. My blog hasn't reached the place where I am totally happy with it, so that is why I am messing with. Looking forward to hearing your feed back!!! Thanks for having patience.

End of June || Random

Today is the last day of June folks! That means that hopefully you are done reading Proverbs or are finishing it up today. I just finished reading 30 and 31 this afternoon. I really enjoyed having this challenge...a few days I forgot, but then caught up the next day. Here are a few of my favorite verses:

Proverbs 3:7
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord and depart from evil.

Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Proverbs 16:3
Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Proverbs 31:30
Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

The day we took a trip...

Hello!! As you can tell, it's been quite awhile since I've posted. I really had so many none ideas for blogging, so I just let it set. Sorry guys, I'm open for ideas :) Anyway. I DO have a post for you:

The day the Sauder family took a trip.....
This trip was a long time in coming. Somewhere around 5-7 years ago, the parents told Grandpa & Grandma that we would take a bus and go to lake Tobias. In the next years, nothing happened...well Chad, Jo + family came home for a visit and we decided THIS WAS THE TIME. Everything was planned and we eagerly looked forward to the day. Chad + Jo started a café in Cambodia (check it out here www.sauders4him.com ) and we each got a shirt, so we (most of us ;) ) wore our shirts. We were the "black tribe." We took Weavertown's bus and had a wonderful goot day!!! =)
Meeting at Walmart

The bus ride was quite interesting :D

My dear Mother!
Zebras
We got to see some cool animals!

That's all for now! Talk to y'all later!!!! <3 XOXO

Proverbs 6:20-23

I just got done reading my Proverbs 6 for the day and what it says in there about our dear parents is pretty plain....
"My son, obey your father's commands, and don't neglect your mother's instruction. Keep their words always around your heart. Tie them around your neck. When you walk, their counsel will lead you. When you sleep, they will protect you. When you wake up, they will advise you. For their command is a lamp and their instruction a light.; their corrective discipline is the way to life."
Proverbs 6:20-23

I am very thankful for my parents!! :)
