Havre de Grace, MD

Howdy!!!
I'm back from camp, and I had the most amazing week. I'm so thankful for all the friendships I made ❤.
Anyway, I don't have a camera other than my Dad's old iPhone which I didn't take along, so therefore I sadly don't have pictures. But I have pictures of another quick one of our "day vacations". There was an auction down in the Oxford area that Dad wanted to go to, so we all went along, stopped at the auction on the way, and then went down to the Chesapeake Bay. It was Saturday (8/13/16) which was the day where the real feel was 112* and it was SOO hot!! The highest we saw in the suburban was 101*. Yah. Anyway, we took our swimming suits with hoping to swim and here there was no place to swim. =( So we just explored a bit down around the bay...got to go up a light house (I didn't go the whole way up, I'm not a heights person), and at least put our feet in the bay. It was an OK day. I had just got back from camp so I was tired of the heat and just plain down tired, but it was neat to see the bay. Here are some pictures of our adventure!!!

Guest Post || Susanna Clemmer

Good Morning everyone!!
I'm here with a guest post from my friend Susanna (Susie for short!). Susie and I have been pen pals for a little over 2 years. We recently met when she was down for her Great Grandma's funeral and we had a great time learning to know each other better!
Susie is going to tell you a little bit about her & her dog raising/dog sitting business:
Me & Susanna

Can you tell a little bit about yourself? ...
I am a fourteen year-old girl, one of the six children of Wendell and Lisa Clemmer. Ultimately, I am a child of the King, and I live striving to please Him. I enjoy serving others (that is the spiritual gift that God blessed me with) and sharing the Gospel where God gives me the opportunity.

Where do you live? ....
                     Auburn, Maine

A few of your hobbies? ...
I enjoy many things, so you probably don't want me to list them all! Here are just a few that stick out to me above others: Kayaking, swimming, baking with Daddy, fishing, writing, and spending time with our dogs. :-)

Your favorite verse? ...
I like Philippians 4:13. "I can do all things through Christ Who gives me strength." There is no limit to what we can do when Christ is in the center of it all!

Now about my dogs:
We own and raise Bernese Mountain dogs. Below you will find pictures and names of each of our dogs and our one precious puppy. Also, we sometimes puppy sit and right now we are puppy sitting some black and yellow labs! (Pictures at the end).
Jamaica

Cheyenne is the sweet-looking dog just laying there by the tree. (She is my very favorite dog of them all!) She has a very thin strip of white on her face and no white on her front paws.

This big 'ole guy with has perfect symmetrical  markings is Toronto.

Toronto loves rolling around on his back!

The little Berner puppy that I'm holding is Lucea. There's also a picture of her sleeping on her side above. (Isn't she adorable?!!?!)

^^the puppies we are taking care of right now^^

Thanks so much for doing this guest post Susanna!! I enjoyed working with you to get it together :)
Have a great day everyone!! :)

How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. Psalms 36:7

w.v. vacation and fundraiser.

Hey Folks!!!
It seems like a long time since I blogged. Life has been really busy around here...we've had different things going and lots of vacations! So be prepared for a big post and lots of pictures :)

  • first off was the cabin with the Martin family. I don't have pictures except a selfie with Heidi and my pen pal from Maine who spent  Friday night with us. It was a blast though!! That was June 24-26.
Sorry about the bad quality, but Heidi is an awesome cousin and I am glad for the little time we get to spend together :)
  • July 10-13 found us in West Virginia with the Sauder family. Since I don't have any cousins my age, I took Maria (cousin on Martin side) with and we had a double blast. We got to ski, swim A LOT, rope swing into the water  and hang out with my amazing family. Chad & Jo are home on furlough for 10 weeks (They are currently having a layover in China, on their way back =( ), so that was especially fun to have them there and be able to spend time with them. Oh and did I mention, we go to a cabin by a HUGE lake right which is right by a big power plant. The power plant uses the water to run its huge plant, so therefore the water is warm. Where we swim at the dock, it isn't bath tub water, but believe me, it feels just pretty good, really good if it is chilly outside! One night we swam very close to the place where the hot water comes out of the plant, and that was like a hot tub. You almost couldn't be in it long or you would feel funny. It sure felt good though!!!

Another view with lots of people!
  • We came home and then it was the fundraiser for Chad & Jo. We planned a car, truck, motorcycle show to raise money for them. It was held here on our farm and everything went amazing. We raised a huge sum of money for them and overall, everything went very smoothly!
