Peanut Butter Bars

We are giving a meal to my aunt for her birthday and I made some peanut butter bars, so here is the recipe:

1/2 C. butter- softened (let set at room temp for a bit)
                                                            1/2 C. Sugar
                                                            1/2 C. brown sugar
                                                            1/2 creamy peanut butter
                                                            1 egg beaten
                                                            1 tsp. vanilla
                                                            1 C. all purpose flour
                                                            1/2 C. quick oats
                                                            1 tsp. baking soda
                                                            1/4 tsp. salt
                                                            1 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips

                                                            Icing: 1/2 C. 10x sugar
                                                                       2 T. milk
                                                                       2 T. peanut butter

Cream butter, sugars, + peanut butter. Add egg + vanilla. Mix well. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, + salt. Stir into the creamed mixture. Spread in a greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake at 350* for 20 min. + (I did 23 minutes, but watch them closely, because if you over bake them, they aren't good). Combine icing ingredients and drizzle over bars (sometimes you can double or triple the icing)! Enjoy :)

DIY Infinity Scarf

We were at the fabric store today getting some knits for some dresses + skirts and we came across a fabric that we really liked + thought would look good in a scarf! So I found a tutorial and before too long I had an awesome scarf. I am attaching the link for the tutorial + a picture of my completed job with my lovely sister modeling!

a t-shirt bag

I saw how to make this easy bag with a old t-shirt and I am going to show y'all how to do it! Follow along and if have any questions, feel free to ask.

First of all, find an old t-shirt....(mine was all stretched out...i recommend using a pretty "tight/heavy/firm" t-shirt ) and cut the sleeves off and the neck as shown in the picture.
Cut off the bottom of the shirt, leaving 3 extra inches for your fringes.
Then cut fringes about 2-3" long....
Cut the 2 end fringes.
Put the shirt wrong side out and then tie the fringes together once. If you are going to be carrying little things in your purse, there are some little holes that your things could go through, so if you are going to have that problem go through and knot them the second time so there aren't holes....(I didn't do that)
Once you did that, turn your shirt the right side and- tada! your finished product!!
Some of my fringes are sticking out as you can see, but if you are a perfectionist (I am not ;)) you could probably easy fix that and mine didn't get that great because of my old stretched out t-shirt. So if you have a firm t-shirt it should work pretty swell!
[excuse my pictures, we don't have a good camera right now so they are a little the way they are:/]

That's all for now folks....have a good evening!!

*Blizzard of 2016*

Remember the blizzard? I know it wasn't that long of a time ago, but it still seems weird that everything was covered with over 2 feet of snow and it took Dad just about all day to plow the lane with the skid loader, and we were snowmobiling everywhere!! Anyway, all that to say, here are a few pictures for you to enjoy and remember the blizzard!
The girls in their snow gear....they had been on a snow mobile ride and it got stuck in a drift, so they were crawling in!

Can you see the wind was blowing in our faces? =)

**if you have any ideas of what I should do blog posts on, I would welcome your ideas! my mind runs dry of ideas and if there is something you think would be interesting, please let me know...I would be more than happy to hear from you**

A Naked Egg....

Here is one of those random/weird things that is kind of cool.....its how to make a naked egg.
You need vinegar, a cup, and 1 egg.
Put the egg in the cup and cover it with vinegar. Let set for 2 days

After 2 days this is what your project will look like...dump the vinegar out and under running cold water and literally rub the shell of!

This is a bad picture, but it is what it looks like. You now just have a squishy egg! you have to be careful with it, because if you squeeze it too hard, or drop it too far it will break. Here is a link to do the same thing which better explains the progress and so forth. http://imaginationstationtoledo.org/content/2011/04/how-to-make-a-naked-egg/
