Hola + Adios

Hola to my dear blogger friends!!
I hope this blog post finds you happy and well 😀

I'm sure many of you have realized that I have been pretty slackish over here in the blogger world. Cause I too have come to the conclusion that I have been pretty absent. And sad to say it, I am here to tell y'all that you probably won't be hearing from me much anymore. I am not going to totally quit blogging, and shut everything down, but just kicking it back a couple notches! I hope to update this blog a couple times a year, but probably not much more than that. 😔 I've realized that this "adventure" in life is coming to a close...life as a teenager is keeping me pretty busy, as well as home responsibilities and I no longer have the time and energy to keep the blog updated.
BUUUT....I am honestly so very grateful for each one of you that has read my blog. Whether you've been here ever since the beginning, or only stopped in a time or two, THANK YOU. Each of your comments, tags, ideas and etc. all meant so much to me!! I am grateful for each one of you.
Keep serving Jesus with your whole heart...He loves each one of you dearly.

"Finally, my brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of  love and peace will be with you."
-
-2 Corinthians 13:11

Love and peace to y'all,
Shalom 💕

Summer Wrap-out

Howdy friends! I am here with a few last pictures of my summer days...some are from the beginning of the summer (that I never posted) and some are just recently.
 So without further a-do...enjoy these pictures of life! :)

^^ This past weekend we had our fall youth retreat - it was a good time!

^^3 of us hiked the whole way up to the power line and got a beautiful view (and did a bit of climbing on the actual power tower thingy)

//

A big highlight of my summer was getting my license and being able to drive myself around to different stuff... ^^like ice cream with the girls 🍦

^^And a Saturday spent shopping!!

//

We had a TON of rain this summer...I mean it just rained and rained!! There was a lot of
flooding in Lancaster County and some on the Martin's farm! :)

^^a road about 2 minutes from our house

//

^^we hit the time of year where the corn comes down! it's always such a fun and busy time on the farm...lots of equipment, and excitement. I can't fully explain it...it's just the kinda thing that makes a farm girl happy! :)

List the rules and have the Sunshine Blogger logo present in your post.

Yes! I do. I play piano and ukulele. I am not super good at either of them, but enough that I can play some praise & worship songs and play around.

I love nonfiction books!! Something about a true life story captivates me.

3. Chocolate or Vanilla?
Of course vanilla. Vanilla has ALWAYS been my favorite and ALWAYS will. 😊

4. Cars or trucks?
This is a good one...I personally drive a car, and I feel like cars are more lady like. (insert big smiling face)  But if I was a guy I would definitely want to drive a truck!

Lorraine. Named after my Grandma Lorraine that died 2 weeks after I was born!

6. Top three favorite blogs?
I follow quite a few blogs, but some of my favorites are:

One day I was talking to a friend who had a blog, and she inspired me to start my own blog. Thus was the creation of A Farm Girl's Randomess!!

Both. I got a Cockapoo this summer and love her, but I also like cats. They are so soft and relaxing!

9. Indoors or Outdoors?
Outdoors!! I love summer and I am sad that it is coming to a close.

10. Favorite summer activity?
Just being able to spend time outside. Swimming, evening gator rides, warmth, lots of campfires and outdoor youth activities.

11. Favorite Food?
Oh dear. That's a REALLY hard one. But hey, I got an answer. We had watermelon for supper and I was like watermelons gotta be the best food around!! So juicy and sweet and altogether delicious. So, there you got it. Watermelon. 🍉

Work Week 2018

Last week (June 18-23) was spent in SC with our youth group. It was my first year going on work week, and it was an awesome experience. We went to Wilderness Way Girls Camp in South Carolina and did a lot of work there at camp. We worked hard...but we also played hard. And...we grew closer to Jesus and closer to each other. ❤

We left at 4:30am Monday morning and the bus ride down was very memorable. It was 90° something in the bus [the ac quit] and we were stuck in traffic. But oh well...we made the best of it... and we were all ready to reach our destination that evening!!
👆 Mariah, Me, & Lauren early Monday morning (spirits high!!)

We worked and worked in the heat...real feel was over 100°. But it was so much fun working with other youth. We accomplished soo much and learned to know each other very well.
☝️ a group of us girls went off camp and helped an older couple move into the community there.

👆  Hanna and I put in hours of cleaning up brush!! The guy in charge showed us a big section of brush and told us he wanted it cleared...we did most of it, although a few people did help us a little here and there. It was so fun!

👆 the finished job...we felt a big sense of accomplishment!!

☝️ the cousinhood

 ☝️ me and cousin Ben. We had a water battle fight going on a lot of the week...so we thought we needed an "enemies of water battle picture." 😂

☝️ the Martin's of the youth group

👆 the whole clan (yes, there were about 65 of us)

We had such an awesome week...I am so thankful for all the happy memories...memories that I will cherish for a while!!
